Additional information

Hayes and Bunting jointly developed the study protocol, conducted interviews and the focus group with practitioners. Both coded and input the data obtained. Bunting took responsibility for the analysis of parents’ responses and Hayes for those from children. Bunting analysed survey responses; Hayes analysed focus group data. Each took responsibility for writing sections of the paper and then contributed to each other’s drafts. Hayes drafted the sections on methodology and findings in relation to pre and post-trial experiences; Bunting wrote those on the literature and findings related to experiences during the trial. The discussion and conclusion were written jointly.
