Additional information

- Develops a new computational method to solve two-dimensional transient heat conduction inverse problems. It uses particular solutions as the radial basis functions for approximation and solves the problem with the Laplace transform technique and the Durbin inversion method.

- This approach offers a highly computationally efficient method.

- Funded by Research Grant Council of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region

- Is particularly suitable for problems when fundamental solutions are difficult to derive.

- This new method is freely available for all academics and engineers and has led to collaboration with Queen Mary and City University of Hong Kong.
