A comparison of 1QS 3-4 and Philo's QEx I 23, using the Armenian edition of the latter. In spite of the different languages the parallels between the two texts provide an argument for Philo's use of the tradition preserved in 1QS 3-4. This does not mean that Philo used the Instruction on the Two Spirits directly, merely that he had access to a similar source.
