Additional information

This volume presents the proceedings of a special session held at the 46th Seminar for Arabian Studies at the British Museum (July 2011) organized by Wadeson. Eight of the eleven papers presented are included. The volume provide new results of recent research at Petra that will have an impact on our understanding of the Nabataeans, especially in areas where information has been lacking in the past, such as ‘early’ Petra, funerary practices and religion. The editing was shared between Wadeson and Nehmé. Wadeson wrote the preface; they co-authored the introduction; and Wadeson has a chapter in the volume.
