Double-weighted statement

This monograph (100,000 words, 451 illustrations) involved the complicated analysis (spanning 10 years) of an enormous quantity of complex unpublished excavation records and 6,000 artefacts in the ASOR-Nelson-Glueck-Archive in the Semitic Museum, Harvard University, and fieldtrips to Jordan; in order to determine the phases of the temple, and the contexts of the finds. Andres Reyes did 20% of the resultant major contribution on Nabataean religion. The other co-authors wrote specialist reports in a separate volume. Writing was done during 18 months, supported by internal Oxford funding (Fell Fund, etc.).
