Double-weighted statement

This monograph presents the culmination of four years intensive work - three years of doctoral studies and a further year of refinement. The research for it required a mutli-disciplinary approach, including the fields of law, political theory, international relations, and philosophy. The global scope of the research required an understanding of the relevant literature from across the world. The book goes beyond standard accounts of the field of global constitutionalism in that it presents the first critical examination of the field and therewith the first unearthing of the partial and biased nature of previous accounts.
