Additional information

We currently lead the world in in-situ nanomanipulation techniques used in SEM and FIB to produce measurements on individual nanomagnetic particles. We use these methods to compare the same nanomagnetic particle (< 15nm diameter) on both nano-SQUIDs and nano Hall bars. We study these methods using the most sensitive measure possible (our own nanoSQUIDs) and compare with room temperature nano Hall-bars. Evaluation of the true sensitivity of Hall bars allows us to test their suitability for room temperature measurement in data storage and biological imaging and scanning magnetic microscopy.
