Additional information

This international collaboration with world-leading groups at University of Warwick, SuperSTEM, IFW-Dresden and TU Wien, shows experimentally the smallest phase change material known in this world, below the theoretical limit of 2nm. When confined in ~1nm diameter Single-walled CNTs, GeTe show transitions from crystalline to amorphous. This input in the highest rated nanotechnology specialist journal contributed to staff appointments (Giusca – NPL, Sader – FEI) and collaborations with IBM, Yorktown on phase-change memory.
