Proposes a new theoretical framework, which is one of the key conceptual components of the joint EPSRC/DFG project (2010-2014). Findings used in building the predictive models at the Universities of Minnesota, U.S.A. (Sotiropoulos’ group) and Auckland, New Zealand (Melville’s group), designing experiments at the University of Illinois, U.S.A (Yaeger), and estimates of the re-suspension of benthic sediments at the University of Trento, Italy (Righetti).
