Advances seminal ‘doing gender’ theory. Develops novel coherent theory of ‘doing gender well and differently’ through innovative empirical research from a dirty work (sex work) site. Recently published, influencing the international intellectual agenda with increasing citations e.g. the body in Organisation Studies (2012), women in management in Gender in Management: An International Journal (2012/2013), developing a gender typology in Gender Work and Organisation (2013) and the monograph ‘Gender Capital’ (2012).
