Additional information

This is the first reported fluorescent lamp model that can be used with standard circuit simulation packages but is based on the physical principles underlying the plasma behaviour rather than behavioural abstraction. Fluorescent lamps are highly non- linear loads for the ballasts that drive them. It combines computational efficiency with hi-fidelity and offers excellent performance over a wide range of operating frequencies (50 Hz to 50 kHz). It also allows for user defined lamp dimensions and, where necessary, gas fill parameters to enable designers to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of their designs.
