Autoras inciertas. Voces olvidadas de nuestro feminismo
This 90,000-word monograph analyses for the first time four Spanish feminists, highly influential for their political involvement and their writing before 1936. Their experience of authorship underpins this analysis which invites readers to understand authorship from a gender perspective and to reassess Iberian and European feminism. Original material, including private letters, rare books and prints, was consulted in Spain and the UK to explain the complex relationship with patriarchy these "uncertain" authors had and their feminist proposals to regenerate Spain. The chapter on Fortún draws on "Elena Fortún y Celia: el Bildungsroman truncado de una escritora moderna" submitted to RAE2008.
