The research work published here forms part of a continued collaboration with the world-leading pharmaceutical company MSD (contact available). The processing of healthcare pharmaceutical products involves a number of carefully controlled unit operations, and the novel results from this study are currently being assessed by MSD in terms of implementing them into their research and development programme. The research augments the current understanding of industrial screen extrusion mechanisms. As a direct result of this study, a new collaboration with the Pharmacy Department at the University of Xian, China, is on the verge of being realised (contact available on request).
