Additional information
<21> This paper tackles the problem of personalising public displays in order to improve the utility of digital signage. The solution is based on transmitting requests via Bluetooth device names. We report a low barrier to entry but show that the technique is not suitable for triggering walk-by content (a key negative result for the field, based on empirical data from our campus testbed). One of 26 presented papers (of 128 submitted), 20.3% acceptance rate. MobiSys is a leading ACM SIGMOBILE conference for mobile systems work. Citations to this work are doubling each year since 2009.
