Additional information

The paper presents a Group Search Optimizer based on the study of animal group living theory, including the behaviour of producers, scroungers and rangers, and it shows significant advantages over conventional algorithms. The work was a collaboration of engineers and biologists at Liverpool. The paper has impacted several research areas of power grids and structural engineering worldwide (see Li & Liu, Springer, ISBN 978-3-642-20536-1).
