This is the world's first report on ammonia synthesis directly from air and water at ambient conditions. The impact on the ammonia industry will be revolutionary as it by-passes the hydrogen production and nitrogen separation stages and uses mild operating conditions. This paper was selected by The Latest Science (selected from all journals in the world) as paper of the month (February, 2013, http://www.thelatestscience.com/paperoftheyear.php).
