This paper presents the research output from the IeMRC funded project (SP/06/03) and utilized the knowledge gained from IeMRC flagship project (FS/05/01). It has resulted in a new IeMRC project (RODENT: SP/03/02/11) which is now extending these models with University of Nottingham. The results have also led to the group being members of the working group formulating the new IEEE standard (IEEE Std. P1856) for Prognostics and Health Management of Electronic Systems (Contact Professor Michael Pecht, University of Maryland, pecht@calce.umd.edu). Work in this paper has also contributed to a new £18M EPSRC flagship project – Underpinning Power Electronics, where Greenwich is leading the design modelling and simulation activities.
