Additional information

Stability analysis of natural slopes under different static and dynamic loading conditions has always been extremely important for geotechnical engineers. Landslides are among the most widespread and omnipresent of natural hazards and occur over fairly restricted spatial and temporal scales, the extent of which is governed by the scale and duration of triggering events such as earthquakes or heavy rainfall. Because of being adjacent to residential areas, construction of buildings and other structures have been so common on slopes. Landslides are persistent causes of life and economic losses and therefore, better understanding of the stability status of slopes is crucial.
