This work was funded under EU FP6 framework (Grant number 33546, EUR 7,500,000), to investigate the need for integrated optimization algorithms, allowing mid-tier suppliers to effectively navigate the complexity of the supply networks in which they are embedded.
The results of this work were incorporated in the Supply Chain Management module given to MSc students at Cranfield University, which has up to 90% of students entering industry after graduation.
