Additional information

This study concerned the synthesis and characterisation of a purely organic paramagnetic metal. The crystalline material contains two types of cationic packing, which is very rare, and is a metallic conductor down to an unprecedented 2K. Significantly, this shows that the metallic ground state in organic compounds can be stabilised by structure moderation. This highly novel organic metal has potential for electronics, magnetics and related applications.
