Additional information

Simulation resulting in a new calibration equation, improving the effectiveness of the Ocular Response Analyzer, for the elimination of the influence of corneal stiffness on the measurement of the eye's internal pressure. Follow-on research at the University of New South Wales developed a new tonometer (evidence file: Elsheikh4-1 & 4-2). A device, undergoing clinical trials, was developed from the research in collaboration with the company Keeler Opthalmic Instruments (contact: adrianb@keeler.co.uk; Evidence file: Elsheikh4-3).
