Additional information

Techniques which allow rapid manufacturing of composite materials are being sought for a range of applications. The Quickstep technique allows very rapid heating and cooling of composites during processing which leads to an ability to control resin viscosity. The processing cycle can be manipulated and improved. The double vacuum bagging technique has been adopted to see if further improvements in the process could be made. Under some limited circumstances reduction in resin rich areas was achieved.
