This paper addresses a deficiency of the Aerospace Recommended Practice approaches in SAE ARP5107, used to analyse the application of Time-Limited Dispatch to aircraft, by presenting a novel technique for setting dispatch criteria and ensuring that these criteria meet the certification requirements for the system failure rate.
