<03>This paper addresses the reliability and sustainability issues of dynamic service integration for Network Enabled Capability (NEC) to adapt to evolution occurring in services and capability for constructing next-generation software-intensive military systems. The paper is significant in presenting empirical evidence, which indicates that the proposed architectural approach provides a high level of reliability and sustainability in the provision of NEC. The approach was used by BAE Systems to develop a Network Enables Capability framework for future military capability and led to collaboration with the US Department of Defence Network Centric Warfare Programme.
