Double-weighted statement

This book meets the criteria for extended scale and scope as it is based on the analysis of a substantial corpus of data, generated through field studies, interviews, and audio-visual recordings, undertaken in regional, national and international auction houses in the UK, mainland Europe and the United States. The field work was undertaken over a period of five years and the project funded by the EPSRC. It is one of the first, full-length monographs, to address the social interactional foundations of economic action and market activity.
