Choosing tomorrow's children : : the ethics of selective reproduction
This output’s scale and scope required a research effort well in excess of that required to produce two regular outputs, because it is a substantial monograph (of around 120,000 words) that engages in depth with an unusually extensive and disparate set of materials. These include, inter alia: academic work in law, moral theory and philosophy; policy documents and reports produced by government, campaigning organisations, and policy/regulatory bodies; interviews with key stakeholders; and legislative and parliamentary documents. It combines complex theoretical work in ethics with empirically informed and policy-relevant discussions of a wide range of reproductive practices.
