Double-weighted statement

This output should be double weighted because it required the collection and analysis of a considerable body of material, particularly the use of extensive primary sources covering a period of more than 50 years. Abrams read over 50 years of Commentary magazine, consisting of some 600 issues, of an average page length of 100 pages, combined with extensive archival research in a series of libraries and interviews, as well as combing contemporary newspaper and other accounts. This necessitated a lengthy period of data collection - some ten years - to generate the empirical data, critical insights and argument.
