Additional information

Opens up a new area in polymeric and oligomeric-based devices by vacuum-deposition. This paper demonstrates that vacuum deposited conjugated polymers that do not need solubilising side groups have much higher hole mobilities – generally a key limiting factor in device performance. We are building on this expertise to demonstrate R2R deposition of all-evaporated organic electronics to produce high-yield, high performance OTFTs with universities of Bangor, Manchester, Leeds, and 11 industrial partners including General Vacuum Equipment, Camvac Ltd, Scott Bader Company, Plastic Logic, Proctor&Gamble and DuPont Teijin Films in an IeMRC project led by Oxford(£1.2m).
