<28> Originality: This work presents the first 3D query interface and database for Drosophila anatomy, gene expression and phenotype data. It graphically displays the new community established ontology for the fly brain and links the ontology to spatial representations.

Significance: VFB provides the first and only mechanism to integrate fly brain data across different databases and link to the published literature.

Rigour: VFB provides the only unified query interface to all major international community resources including FlyBase, FlyLight and FlyCircuit.
