Balog designed the experiments, prepared graphene samples and performed controlled hydrogen deposition in two separate experimental setups (STM and ARPES), acquired STM and ARPES data, carried out the analysis of STM pictures and ARPES data, and interpreted the band structure changes in graphene and wrote the manuscript.
