Additional information

To investigate the interactions between particles in industrial pressure agglomeration processes, a novel device called Micromanipulation Particle Tester (MPT) is introduced. The MPT makes it possible to bring two particles into contact to assess the occurring forces and contact zone development whilst controlling all important process parameters. Based on the results, the agglomeration product quality can be predicted using DEM (Discrete Element Method) without effortful trial and error type bulk material studies.
