Humanity's Law
American Society of International Law 106th Annual Meeting, April 2012. Award for Humanity's Law in a specialized area of international law (Oxford University Press) (honorable mention)
Given honourable mention by the American Society’s International Law Book Prize for Creative Scholarship in 2011, Humanity’s Law is an extra-ordinarily far reaching book theoretically reframing large portions of the Law of Armed Conflict, Public International Law, International Criminal Law, Human Rights and domestic constitutional law. The articulation of a thought-out and provocative new place-holder —namely Humanity’s Law —which supersedes and exceeds conceptualization across all these sub-fields has reshaped international law discourse and resulted in multiple scholarly engagements with this new framing. The work is rigorous, jurisprudentially grounded, and path-breaking in the way it reworks traditional international law dichotomies.
