Additional information

The exhaust gas of heavy duty diesel engines through a heat exchanger can provide an important heat source that may be used to improve overall engine efficiency. Based on the findings of the above paper, the IVECO truck manufacturer will proceed into the manufacturing of a heat exchanger which will be installed into trucks for the USA market in the near future. The heat exchanger design has been undertaken by AVL Austria.
