Additional information

The second paper from the COLD GASS survey, focusing on the link between molecular gas and star formation. The paper is important, as it reveals that unlike what was previously assumed, the efficiency of the star formation process varies across the population of normal star-forming galaxies. The paper furthermore highlights the importance of secular processes over mergers in driving star formation efficiency. A. Saintonge led this study from beginning to end, performing the science analysis and writing the paper.
