Additional information

<02>The new formal model developed in this paper for the Braitenberg vehicle 2b (proposed by the Neuroscientist Valentino Braitenberg, and widely used in robotics, artificial life, character animation) provides theoretical support to more than two decades of existing experimental work. It paves the way to the development of new theoretically grounded applications and allows a better understanding of biological navigation. Applications include: coverage for cleaning, de-mining, surveillance (the subject of an IEEE ICRA 2014 submission “The bio-inspired chaotic robot” under review), or control of fish robots (Salumae et al, IEEE ICRA 2012).
