Additional information

This 80,000 word monograph is the culmination of an ESRC funded project which took over five years to complete (in 2010). This item includes some material in common with outputs published in 2007. Specifically, earlier versions of parts of chapters 3 and 4 were published in articles in 2007. The remaining parts of chapters 3 and 4, including expert interviews with stakeholders (regulators, civil society bodies, industry representatives), focus groups and extensive policy document and media analysis, are entirely new. The overlapping material was thoroughly revised when incorporated into the volume. The remaining seven chapters are new.
