The 80000 word monograph Torture Porn examines the development of and responses to a subgenre, elucidating its connections to the wider genre (horror) and pornography. We request double weighting of this output because the research involved the analysis of press responses from a survey of over 1200 articles, assembling a wide range of statements from fans and filmmakers, and viewing and analysis of 275 films. The collation of data took over two years.
