Paper originally presented at the 1st International Workshop on Pervasive Web Mapping, Geoprocessing and Services organized by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Working Group (WG) IV/5 (Como, Italy, 2010). One of six workshop presentations invited to develop full manuscripts for a special issue of the journal and demonstrates how web GIS techniques can ensure that the planning process surrounding the implementation of renewable generation schemes can be made more inclusive and timely for different stakeholders.
