Additional information

<04> With the advent of Next Generation Networks, video calling became a prominent feature. However the most common problem is that most devices cannot communicate with one another due to difference in screen size, bandwidth and codec used. This paper focuses on a software engine that was developed and tested on a real network which allows two incompatible devices to talk to one another. This research will allow operators to deploy an interoperable Next Generation Network. The algorithm was used by the research group's Glamex Security Ltd. spinout to develop a Video to Mobile Phone based security system.
