Search for supersymmetry at the LHC in events with jets and missing transverse energy
The searches for new physics phenomena with production of supersymmetric particles in CMS reported here contribute to the discovery or exclusion of these particles which would have a major impact on particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology requiring the revision of their fundamental theories. This study used data analysis methods based on complex computer and statistics algorithms for which I provided expertise as a member of a small specially selected team (CMS Statistics Committee). This expertise also led to my invited lecture on multivariate data analysis and the invitation to coordinate a track at international workshop ACAT 2010, India (http://acat2010.cern.ch/).
