Additional information

This output is a result of our long term collaboration with Prof Xu’s group in Fudan University, China pioneering tumour angiogenesis modelling focusing on the micro vessel network generation. The contributions of this output were the development of 3D network generation and the coupled calculation of blood perfusion. In addition, the influence of anti-angiogenesis drugs on the network evolution was also investigated. The major milestone this highly cited work provided, is a platform for the investigation of tumour drug treatment. It is now regarded as one of the classical works (Bottaro and Ansaldi, J Biomed Eng, 2012Aug; 134(8):084501).
