This output was disseminated as a result of collaborations with Hillingdon Hospital and Ferrara University, Italy. Our clinical collaborator has particular interest in the impact of carotid arterial plaque. As the carotid arteries are the lead vessel for blood supply to the brain, the haemodynamic impacts of this vessel being partially blocked are of clinically high importance and have influenced clinical practice (saroj.das@thh.nhs.uk), particularly when considering the patient-specific variation of Circle-of-Willis configurations. This study produced a comprehensive analysis of varied Circle-of-Willis configuration due to carotid stenosis. The result provided clear guidance to clinicians on patient symptom diagnosis and treatment outcome.
