Double-weighted statement

This volume (365 pages) meets four of the five criteria for double-weighting. Based on the compilation over 11 years (1997-2008) of an enormous amount of data, it generates an extensive thesis analysing the highly complex relationship between Pagan and Christian world-views presupposed by both literary and non-literary epigaphic and iconographic artefacts. The material collected is voluminous and wide-ranging, consisting of photographic images of coins, reproduction of papyri materials, integrated with detailed discussions of primary sources. The result generates new insights into the interaction of Early Christian with Pagan culture, and into the processes of the transformation of culture.
