<03>This paper presents a novel architectural framework for the modelling and simulation of SOAs to deliver dependable and sustainable military capability based on dynamic service discovery and ultra-late binding. It lays the theoretical foundations for assessing how different architectures improve the capability provision of SOAs to achieve dependable dynamic service integration. The approach was used by BAE Systems to develop a Network Enables Capability framework for future military capability and laid the foundations for a £10 million joint EPSRC and Jaguar Land Rover sponsored engineering research programme focussing on the analysis of the vehicle as a complex system.
