<22>This paper presents a sophisticated framework for collaborative UAVs that integrates logical specifications of mission plans, distributed planning techniques and the use of delegation and speech acts as a formal basis for the framework. This core framework also serves as the main architecture of the new EU ICT project SHERPA (ICT-600958) with a budget of 9 million euro. This unique integrated research with the novelty of actually specifying, designing and deploying industrial proof cyber-physical systems has played an important role in Doherty being recently elected as a co-editor of the Artificial Intelligence Journal from the end of 2014.
