Additional information
The study focuses on methodology developed for processing and analysing signals with non-stationary and non-linear features which is very cutting edge R&D in pattern recognition for engine working conditions monitoring. The method is based on time-frequency image (TFI) feature extraction and support vector machines (SVMs). The new developed method is more accurate and convenient engine working conditions monitoring. The research has resulted in industrial application in Shenyang Blower Works Group Corporation, China [Qiang Yan: spm006@126.com]..
