This paper built upon an earlier one published at ACM ASSETS in 2006. It examined a novel and innovative method for helping users with severe motor impairments click on on-screen targets. The technique developed was the subject of a US Patent application by IBM (Keates S, Malkin PK, Trewin S (2008) System and method for correcting positioning and triggering errors for aim-and-trigger devices. US Patent Application US2008/0266252).
