Additional information

<13> This work resulted as a direct response to the theory developed by Andrew Foulkes in his thesis. The result was a numerical method that solved the reaction-diffusion system of equations in a frame of reference that rotated with the spiral, enabling users to study spiral waves in such a way that the waves never reach the boundary. A by-product was a piece of software distrubuted under a GNU free software licence.
