Additional information

This paper was selected by the Physical Review editors to feature as an editors suggestion paper. It is the first output from a UK user of the NEPOMUC beamline at FRMII and one of the first journal publications from the positron annihilation lifetime instrument. The work led to the award of beamtime that resulted in PRL 105 226102 above, which, in turn led to a marked increase in beamtime allocated. It also resulted in an invited book chapter and contributed to an invitation to speak at 11th International Workshop on Positron Studies of Defects.
