The author made a substantial contribution to analysis and interpretation of study data. This paper uses an advanced plasma-physics simulation code (IMPACTA) developed by the author and the 2nd listed author, Thomas, a PDRA on the author's EPSRC funded project. This code is absolutely essential to interpreting the experimental results presented & arriving at the research hypothesis.
The author also helped draft the paper and provided an important intellectual contribution to the main hypothesis. Specifically, he pointed out a plausible alternative explanation for an observation which resulted in the hypothesis being modified.
